Hollywood Actress Chooses Urgent Care Clinic After Holiday Mishap
Many people know Nina Dobrev as the former lead actress in the hit series The Vampire Diaries. Those that have followed her career closely are also probably aware that she’s been known to be somewhat accident prone. Some might even call her a clutz, like one of her good friends, Julianne Hough, did in a recent Instagram post.
Hough took the friendly jab at her friend in a picture of the two at an urgent care facility where Dobrev was seeking treatment for a holiday mishap, according to the news site Inquisitr.com. Most people are familiar with urgent care centers these days. They’re seemingly taking over large parts of the healthcare industry, as there are over 6,800 urgent care clinics in the U.S. today with an estimated three million patients visiting one each week, according to the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAA).
Approximately 57% of patients wait 15 minutes or less to be seen, and about 80% of all visits are 60 minutes or less, according to the UCAA. While average Americans have taken to these new medical centers because of the reduced wait times and flexible hours, it appears the convenience urgent care clinics offer appeals to the Hollywood stars as well.
The reason for her visit was not reported, but it wasn’t thought to be serious as Dobrev reportedly didn’t want to seek treatment at first. Her mother convinced her to go, according to Hough’s Instagram caption.
Dobrev has been known for her accidents on set while filming the show she starred in. On one occasion she was even diagnosed with a concussion after hitting her head. Luckily for Dobrev and the rest of society, no matter if it’s the holidays or a random Tuesday, urgent care clinics are an effective and efficient healthcare option for stars and average Joe’s alike.
