Many employers require the passing of a drug and/or alcohol testing as a condition of employment. In Arizona, employers can (but are not required to) ask potential employees to submit to a drug and alcohol test prior to employment and as a condition of continued employment.
Tests that are able to show the presence of drugs or alcohol can include urine includeurine drug tests, blood drug tests, hair drug tests, breath alcohol tests, saliva drug screen, and sweat drug screen.
Urinalysis (the screening of urine for drugs) is the most common type of pre-employment testing.
There are certain medications that can interfere with test results, so be sure to list all medications that you are taking with your physician- even over the counter medications.
When your employment is contingent on your test results, you want to be sure to go to a clinic that will deliver quick and accurate results.
