Urgent Care Employment Screenings in Phoenix

In the state of Arizona, just over half of employers require drug testing for new hires. While this is down somewhat from the 82% that did in 1997, drug testing is both more important and more effective than ever before.

Tests that are able to show the presence of drugs or alcohol can include urine drug tests, blood drug tests, hair drug tests, breath alcohol tests, saliva drug screen, and sweat drug screen.

Drug testing isn’t just for job interviews and new hires either — many federal government jobs require random drug testing, as do DOT-regulated employees in the transportation industry.

Urinalysis (the screening of urine for drugs) is the most common type of pre-employment testing. While it was possible to defeat the original tests with substitute urine, additives, commercial “cleanses”, or just drinking a lot of water, urinalysis has become more sophisticated, and there are new and different tests that are even more difficult to fool.

There are certain medications that can interfere with test results, so be sure to list all medications that you are taking with your physician- even over the counter medications.

When your employment is contingent on your test results, you want to be sure to go to a clinic that will deliver quick and accurate results.
